Inexpensive Touring in Australia

In Australia, the least expensive way to see the country and stay overnight is by renting a car and staying at coach camps (these are private campgrounds around the country). These campgrounds have coaches or camp-trailers for rent by the night or any length of time you wish to stay while seeing the sights around the area. Each camp-trailer has a comfortable bed, all the cooking utensils needed as well as coffee/tea pots, toaster, etc., plus a washroom. The cost for these stays is less than a motel or hotel or bed & breakfast. You get help from the owner or your fellow campers on road conditions, things to see and do, and shopping. We self-toured for 2 months doing this trip around Australia. If we had stayed in conventional housing and ate in restaurants all the time, we could have only stayed 3 weeks
