Bukovina Romania

Bukovina, Austrian Empire became the Duchy of Bukovina is a historical region comprising an area covering the towns adjacent Radauti, Suceava, Gura Humor, Campulung Moldovan, Worcester, and Vicovu de Sus, Siret in Romania, and Chernivtsi, Cozmeni, Zastavna, Vascauti on Ceremuş, Wizhnitz, Sadagura and Storojineţ in Ukraine.
The name became official in use in 1775, with the annexation of the territory of the Habsburg Empire. The name comes from the Slavic word for beech ("buk"), so the term "Bucovina" may be the "Country phage"
