Welcome to San Gimignano
San Gimignano is a small medieval town situated on a hill in Tuscany, 35 minutes drive northwest of Siena or southwest of Florence. It is famous for its medieval architecture, especially the towers to be seen from several kilometers outside the city. Of the 60 towers owned by rich people wishing to stay protected from looting the city, most have been demolished Quantity Florence took over the city. The settlement was founded in third century BC. by the Etruscans. Every day is celebrated March 12 Saint Serafina and says its housing still exists in this city.
