   Welcome to Millet

   Millet in a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Alberta's capital city of Edmonton. The town has won nationally in the Communities in Bloom competition and markets its beautiful setting.

   Millet has several small businesses, and two schools, Millet School and Griffiths-Scott Middle School.

   In June of every year, a Millet Days celebration takes place. This is the annual parade, trade show,softball tournament, fireworks, and regionally famous Millet Days Soccer Tournament. Millet focuses on agriculture and recreation. The Millet Thunder hockey club has come back to Millet as of 2004. The Team is a part of the Chinook Hockey League, and is a senior A league.

   Millet Museum

   The Millet and District Museum, Archives and Visitor Information Centre was formed in 1985. It continues to thrive on the west side of Highway 2A at the north end of the Town of Millet, which is located about 40 minutes south of Edmonton, the capital of Alberta. Its newest exhibit, "Achieving Excellence: 25 Years of the Millet Museum" is due to open in the summer months.
