   Welcome to Kasane & Kazungula

The small town of Kasane is a convenient gateway to the four countries of the Black Continent, namely, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe, which are also known as the Africa's "Four Corners." Lying in the banks of Chobe River, the town also serves as a jump-off point to the Chobe National Park, to the Victoria Falls, and the Okavango Delta. Visitors getting to Kasane for the first time may get the feel that the town is synonymous to a small safari destination as elephants are frequently seen wandering around the main streets, while crocodiles may be seen frolicking around the river. Such wilderness makes the village a good venue for camping under the canopy of stars. Here, travelers may also indulge in a river cruise via double-decker boats and in game-viewing either at Chobe or Zambezi River, where hippos, herds of buffalos, monkeys, and elephants are on a run while African eagles are on flight.

Just east of Kasane is the border postal town of Kazungula, where the confluence of the rivers Zambezi and Chobe meet. There are decent lodges on the river bank, and these can be worthwhile choices for an overnight stay especially to those who want to get a preview of the picturesque Impallila Island.
