



Welcome to Apatin !!!
Apatin is located in the north-western part of Vojvodina, beside left bank of Danube, at 17 km southwest of Sombor. It is a little multiethnic town including Serbian, Hungarian, Croatian, Romanian and other nationalities. Tourists will enjoy in Apatin the wonderful buildings, the churches that represent a beautiful sight for everyone.
Since 1700, here existed a long tradition of craftsmanship. Most popular Serbian beer brands are to be found here. Tourists should know that Apatin has brewed beer since 1756.
A must know for fishing lovers is that here take place several annual events dedicated to fishing. You can participate at fish stew, that is traditionally prepared during Fisherman’s Night. In Apatin you can enjoy small-games like wild boar and deer hunters. An other interesting leasure time for you is enjoying a visit to Bestrement, Ciganski dunavac, Kupusinski dunavac, or Kandljilja pesak.
If you suffer from coronary and digestive system aliments, the good news is that you can have a recreation at the rehabilitation center at the Junakovic Spa, next to Apatin. The spa includes swimming pools, sports facilities, saunas and massage therapy treatments.
Between the cultural and historic sights, are to be mentioned - The Town hall, Apatinska brewery dating from 1756, Church of Holy Apostles, Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Virgin Mary, Ethno exhibition in Prigrevica and Kupusina, the "Saran" national house.
If you visit the town in July, you can take part to Fishing nights of Apatin. An other event is "Licki viseboj" - traditional sporting and chivalry games, or, in September, the festival of wine in Sonta.
Apatin surroundings are very beautiful. Discover the Drava - Danube national park, ideal spot for cycling, or in the summer, the beautiful Danube beaches and water sports. Delicious meals are recommended at "Hardas“, "Stuka“, and "Plava ruza“ restaurants.
